Marine Nourish is a family-owned and operated Oregon company founded by reef hobbyists who were frustrated with paying for water, fillers, and overly complicated feeding systems. We believed there was a better way: source high-quality ingredients from Oregon fisheries, formulate foods that mimic natural ocean diets, and make feeding simple for every reef keeper.

Quality nutrition starts with quality sourcing. That’s why we source our seafood ingredients from Oregon fisheries and the Pacific Northwest. By working with trusted local fishermen and fisheries, we maintain greater oversight of the ingredients that go into our products while supporting responsible and sustainable harvesting practices. We believe the best marine nutrition begins with real ingredients from clean, nutrient-rich waters.

As reef keepers ourselves, we became increasingly disappointed with the products available on the market. Many frozen foods contain large amounts of added water, meaning hobbyists often pay for ice rather than nutrition. Other foods rely heavily on synthetic vitamin blends, stabilizers, and additives to compensate for lower-quality ingredients.

We chose a different approach.

Instead of building a food around supplements, we built our food around ingredients. Our formulations begin with whole marine foods such as squid, cod, oysters, nori, and spirulina—ingredients selected to closely resemble the natural diets marine fish and invertebrates have evolved to consume in the ocean. By starting with nutrient-dense seafood and marine algae, we can provide exceptional nutrition through real food rather than relying on long lists of artificial additives.

We also believe marine nutrition has become unnecessarily complicated. Many hobbyists are encouraged to purchase different foods for different species, creating confusion, clutter, and expense. At Marine Nourish, we simplify feeding by focusing on how fish naturally eat. Our omnivore and carnivore formulas, along with our coral food made from the same premium ingredients, provide a straightforward feeding solution suitable for virtually every reef aquarium. Instead of buying a different food for every fish, hobbyists can feed with confidence using products designed around natural feeding behaviors.

Our frozen foods contain no added water, providing concentrated nutrition while reducing unnecessary waste introduced into the aquarium. The result is more food, less filler, cleaner feeding, and better value for reef keepers.

That’s why 10% of our profits are donated to reef conservation efforts.
